Malvazija Kakadu 2017 – mature Malvasia from acacia
Malvazija Kakadu 2017 It comes from the vineyard in Manzan, approximately 90 metres above sea level, overlooking the Bay of Koper and the Julian Alps. Seven days of maceration and long ageing have created a Malvasia with a distinctive yet well-refined character.
Seven days of maceration
The grapes were macerated for seven days. The wine then matured for a year and a half in stainless steel tanks, followed by two years in acacia barrels, where it gained additional depth, texture, and a delicate spiciness.
In a glass
Kakadu has an alcohol content of 13.5 %, a full-bodied structure and a bouquet in which buttery notes, elderflower, vanilla, pollen and delicate herbal notes intertwine. Its freshness keeps the wine lively and makes it well-suited to food.
To the table
It pairs excellently with roasted fennel with blue cheese and walnuts, pork loin, baked pumpkin with thyme, mature cheese, and richer vegetable dishes.
