Malvazija Vizija 2020 – macerated Istrian Malvasia
Malvazija Vision 2020 It is a full, textured and elegant interpretation of Istrian Malvasia. Shorter maceration emphasises the varietal character, while thoughtful ageing adds breadth, depth and a long finish to the wine.
From the vineyards above Domačija Butul
The grapes come from sunny vineyards in Manžan, approximately 90 metres above sea level, right next to Butul Homestead. They were hand-picked between 10 and 16 September 2020. The yield was carefully limited to around 1.5 kg of grapes per vine to ensure the fruit achieved full ripeness and expressiveness.
Shorter maceration and varied ageing
After a short maceration, the wine matured in a combination of glass carboys, used barrique barrels, and steel tanks. The carboys and steel preserve freshness, while the used wood adds texture and gentle complexity to the wine, without overshadowing the character of the Malvasia.
In a glass
The aroma is a blend of sweet root, honeycomb, dry Mediterranean herbs and the warmth of ripe Malvasia. The palate is mineral, long and balanced, with a delicate almond bitterness and elegant acidity. The wine has an alcohol content of 14.5 %.
To the table
Malvazija Vizija pairs well with seafood, roasted vegetables, risottos, white meats, pasta with herbs, and medium-aged cheeses. Due to its fullness and structure, it can also accompany somewhat richer dishes.

Serve lightly chilled and in a larger glass. After opening, allow it some time for the aromas to gradually unfold in the glass.
