Refo\u0161k Black Baby 2025 is a younger, more direct interpretation of Refo\u0161k from Slovenian Istria. It's created for those moments when we want the character of a dark Istrian wine, but in a fresh, drinkable, and relaxed form.<\/p>\n
Refo\u0161k from Doma\u010dija Butul grows on clay-flysch soils in the countryside around Koper. This landscape and the proximity to the sea are expressed in the wine as vibrant freshness, fruitiness, and a recognisable Istrian signature. The name of the grape variety is often associated with the Latin term Rex Fuscus<\/em>, \u00bbking of the dark\u00ab, which aptly describes its deep colour and the prestige of [a type of] black wine.<\/p>\n An intense ruby colour with violet hues is accompanied by aromas of blackberry, blueberry, ripe cherry and fresh dark fruit. The taste is juicy, vibrant and pleasantly structured. The tannins retain the true character of Refo\u0161k, yet remain soft enough for the wine to be accessible and pleasing even in its youth.<\/p>\n Black Baby is excellent withIstrian platters, prosciutto and pancetta, grilled meats, pasta with meat sauces, pizza, stews, and roasted vegetables. Its freshness also beautifully balances richer dishes, making it a reliable choice for a relaxed lunch or dinner with friends.<\/p>\n Serve slightly chilled at approximately 14\u201316 \u00b0C.
